In this exclusive interview with Commercial Integrator, David Anderson, Mimo founder and CEO, discusses exciting plans for InfoComm 2026. Mimo is especially excited to launch the Mimo MystReserve complete room scheduling solution at InfoComm this year.

Read on to learn the company’s plans for the big Las Vegas show.

Commercial Integrator: What is Mimo MystReserve and what problem does it solve?

Mimo MystReserve is a complete room scheduling solution designed for organizations that want something simple, reliable and easy to deploy. Over time, room scheduling systems have become increasingly complicated, often requiring multiple platforms, integrations, and layers of management. Many users simply want to know whether a room is available and book it quickly.

MystReserve brings the experience back to that core purpose while still delivering the reliability and visibility commercial environments require. The solution combines purpose-built software with Mimo’s Adapt LBI commercial tablets, including programmable LED light indicators that make room status immediately visible from a distance, before a user even touches the screen.

Ultimately, we wanted this solution to be a streamlined scheduling experience that is intuitive for users, dependable for IT teams, and easy for integrators to deploy.

Commercial Integrator: What inspired Mimo to develop this solution?

Over the years, Mimo has developed a wide range of commercial displays, tablets, and meeting room technologies and we consistently heard the same feedback from customers and integrators. They were tired of piecing together separate hardware, software, and integrations just to solve a basic room scheduling need. They wanted an out-of-the-box solution.

Our goal with MystReserve wasn’t to create another overly complicated workplace management platform. We designed a dependable scheduling experience that solves the core problem exceptionally well while still fitting naturally into the collaboration tools organizations already use.

Commercial Integrator: What makes MystReserve different from other room scheduling solutions?

The biggest difference is that MystReserve is calendar-agnostic. It works with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, and other leading calendar-based environments, allowing organizations the flexibility to deploy room scheduling without getting locked in or having to redesign their workflows around a single ecosystem.

Equally important, MystReserve is fully validated for Mimo’s commercial-grade Adapt LBI hardware. Rather than a generic app running on a consumer tablet, it’s a purpose-built solution engineered for continuous commercial operation.

Commercial Integrator: Who is the ideal customer or deployment for MystReserve?

MystReserve works anywhere shared spaces need to be managed clearly and simply, including corporate offices, higher education environments, healthcare facilities, collaboration spaces, and multi-room meeting environments.

It’s especially attractive for organizations looking for a streamlined scheduling experience without the operational overhead often associated with larger enterprise workplace management systems. We do include simple dashboards and usage visibility tools, but the primary focus of MystReserve is delivering a dependable, easy-to-use room scheduling experience that can be deployed quickly and managed easily.

Commercial Integrator: How will Mimo MystReserve benefit the AV integrators who attend InfoComm this year?

For integrators, simplicity and flexibility are everything. Traditionally, integrators often had to design different room scheduling deployments depending on whether a customer used Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or another collaboration environment. MystReserve removes much of that friction by supporting multiple calendar ecosystems through a single validated hardware and software solution. Integrators also retain flexibility because MystReserve does not force them into a closed ecosystem.

Commercial Integrator: Can you talk about the hardware and why it matters?

The hardware is a major part of the MystReserve experience. Many room scheduling deployments today rely on consumer tablets adapted for commercial use. MystReserve was designed differently from the start. The Adapt LBI tablets are purpose-built for continuous commercial operation and engineered specifically for workplace scheduling applications.

The programmable LED indicators provide immediate visual feedback so users can instantly see whether a room is available, occupied, or reserved. That visibility becomes especially valuable in busy office environments where users need information quickly and clearly.

Because MystReserve is fully validated for the Adapt LBI hardware, customers and integrators gain confidence that the complete solution has been tested to work reliably together from day one. And from a value perspective, MystReserve includes one year of software at no additional cost with hardware purchase, making the overall solution straightforward to evaluate and deploy.

Commercial Integrator: How easy is it to deploy and scale?

MystReserve is cloud based and was intentionally designed to be straightforward. In practice, deployment comes down to mounting the tablet, connecting it to the organization’s existing calendar environment, and going live. There are no complicated integrations to build and no entirely new platforms for users to learn.

Because MystReserve leverages existing calendar infrastructure, scaling deployments doesn’t require rebuilding workflows or retraining users. Whether an organization is deploying across a handful of meeting spaces or across multiple facilities, the experience remains consistent and manageable.

Commercial Integrator: What will attendees see at InfoComm 2026?

InfoComm attendees will be able to experience MystReserve in a live working environment. It’s one of those solutions that immediately makes sense when you see it in action — real-time room availability, instant on-screen booking, seamless calendar integration, and highly visible LED room indicators all working together in a clean, commercial-grade deployment.

We’ll also be showcasing how the Adapt LBI hardware fits into broader workplace and collaboration environments, including integrations with other scheduling and meeting room technologies. Attendees can visit Mimo at booth #C7679 in Central Hall.

Commercial Integrator: How does MystReserve fit into Mimo’s broader direction as a company?

MystReserve represents the next evolution of that strategy, combining purpose-built hardware with streamlined software experiences that solve specific operational challenges. This won’t be the last time you see Mimo bring hardware and software together into complete, ready-to-deploy commercial solutions.
