What Is Origin Acoustics Announcing at CEDIA Expo 2026?

Origin Acoustics is announcing new executive leadership, new products and an expanded vision for premium audio at CEDIA Expo 2026. The manufacturer of architectural audio solutions for luxury residential and commercial spaces is using the show to signal a larger ambition than any single product launch. The company points to leadership investment, expanded capabilities and a sharpened strategy for its role in the future of premium audio.

“We’ve always had an incredible group of people here who know how to build products and businesses differently,” says Nick Berry, CEO of Origin Acoustics. “What’s changing is the scale of what we believe Origin can become. We’re adding exceptional people, investing in the brand and continuing to push into places where we think audio should live. CEDIA is really the first opportunity to see all of those pieces coming together.”

Who Is David Moore and What Will He Do at Origin?

David Moore is Origin’s new president of new ventures, and he’ll lead the company’s push into new categories, technologies and applications. He brings more than 25 years of experience across consumer electronics, smart home technology, engineering and the CEDIA channel. Moore was one of the key leaders behind the growth of Snap One, where he ultimately led global engineering, overseeing teams responsible for hardware, software and connected-platform innovation across the portfolio.

Moore’s influence runs throughout the custom integration channel. He conceived the idea that became WattBox, developing an early prototype designed to remotely identify and reboot unresponsive network devices, a solution drawn from his own experience as an integrator and technology user. In 2024, he was named a CE Pro Master in recognition of his impact on the evolution of custom integration.

“Some of the best ideas in this industry have always come from understanding the real problems integrators are trying to solve,” says Moore. “That’s what excites me about what we’re building here.”

Who Is Danielle Karr and What Is Her Role?

Danielle Karr is Origin’s new EVP of marketing, leading the evolution of the company’s brand and go-to-market strategy. She brings extensive experience building brands across the smart home, consumer technology and custom integration industries, with leadership roles at Vivint, Control4, Snap One and Nice North America. At Control4, she oversaw the company’s Certified Showroom Program, helping expand the initiative and strengthen how the brand connected with its dealer network, homeowners and the design-build community.

Karr’s approach centers on dealers, with an emphasis on marketing programs, tools and experiences that help Origin partners grow their businesses. Her goal is to connect Origin’s history of innovation to a broader story about the experiences, environments and partnerships it’s designing for next.

“We have an enormous amount of respect for what Origin has already built,” says Karr. “The opportunity now is to take everything that makes this company different, the engineering, the creativity, the people and the culture, and make sure the industry understands the scale of where we’re going next.”

Why Do These Hires Matter for Commercial AV Integrators?

These hires matter for commercial AV integrators because they signal deeper investment in the channel and a wider range of markets Origin plans to serve. Moore’s engineering background and Karr’s dealer-focused marketing experience point to a company building the organization needed to bring more ambitious products to market. Together with Origin’s existing leadership, the appointments reflect a deliberate effort to strengthen the brand, deepen channel relationships and expand into new categories that integrators can sell.

What New Markets Is Origin Acoustics Targeting?

Origin Acoustics is targeting new markets that stretch beyond its architectural audio roots, including luxury residential spaces, outdoor living, hospitality and emerging mobility applications. The company continues to explore how its expertise in loudspeaker engineering, industrial design and custom integration translates across those settings. That gives integrators new opportunities to bring Origin products into projects that go well past the traditional home install.

“Origin has an incredible history of innovation, but there is a much bigger story here than individual products,” says Berry. “We’re designing experiences for some of the most extraordinary spaces in the world, and those spaces are evolving. Our opportunity is to bring the same creativity and obsessive attention to technology and design wherever those experiences are happening.”

What Can Integrators Expect at Origin’s Booth?

Integrators visiting Origin Acoustics booth #2523 can expect immersive demonstrations of new products through guided booth tours designed to go deeper than a traditional product walkthrough. Origin executives and product experts will take dealers, partners and media inside the thinking behind the products, the applications they were designed to solve and the broader direction of the company. The week will also include the events, conversations and community experiences that have become part of Origin’s CEDIA tradition.

What Is Next for Origin Acoustics?

What’s next for Origin Acoustics is a push into new products, new categories and new experiences. The company says CEDIA Expo 2026 will be the first time its new leadership, products and market ambitions come together in one place. Origin ties that momentum to a culture built on design-centric thinking, an innovative spirit and close relationships with the integrators who bring its products to clients.

“Origin has always been at its best when we’re challenging what this industry thinks is possible,” says Berry. “We’re proud of the company we’ve built, and our history gives us the confidence to take even bigger swings. What comes next for Origin is about taking that innovative spirit into new products, new categories and new experiences.”
