Published: January 18, 2022

Audiovisual communications solutions provider ClearOne has released the DIALOG 10 USB, a new single-channel wireless microphone system for videoconferencing, live streaming and public events.

According to ClearOne, the DIALOG is the industry’s only single-channel wireless mic system that features professional-quality audio with USB connectivity. The company says the system is designed for public events, live streaming, studio demonstrations, classroom presentations, personal events, meetings and conferences.

ClearOne adds that the device offers plug-and-play setup. Thus, it is ideal for webcasting and cloud-based collaboration with popular conferencing apps, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, GoToMeeting, etc.

The setup is via a USB Type C cable that connects directly to any PC for audio, power and control. It requires no external power source of audio cables.

ClearOne’s DIALOG 10 USB boasts a wireless microphone system that offers a “robust frequency-spectrum technology with no frequency license restrictions worldwide.” The system also features an auto-scan function that finds open channels for optimal reception. For security, the system features a standards-based FIPS 197 AES-128 encryption for wireless audio.

ClearOne specifies the distinct features of the new product. It states “[The] wide audio bandwidth provides [improved] speech clarity and ultra-low audio latency.” This significantly enhances the audio experience. Thus, it provides an optimal performance-price combination.

The company offers a range of microphones for specific settings, including handheld, boundary, gooseneck, lanyard, headset and lavalier options.

For multi-user environments, users can be assigned their own microphone to pair with a common room receiver that has a large color LCD for viewing battery life, signal strength and programmable mic ID labeling. Microphones can also be powered by AA batteries.

The compact, plenum-rated receiver can be mounted on a desktop, credenza, under a table, behind a video display, or even hidden above a ceiling, according to ClearOne.
