People & Places: Polycom Appoints Mary McDowell as New CEO

Audio-Technica has launched a new high-technology subsidiary company, Alteros. According to the company announcement, Alteros is dedicated to the research, development and sales of innovative technology products with a special focus on high-end wireless for broadcast, live and theater applications in the ever-shrinking frequency spectrum. The new company will develop products capitalizing on A-T’s years of extensive ultra-wideband (UWB) and RF technology research, and innovative digital solutions to solve the most demanding technical problems.
