On AV+, the new pro AV podcast from Commercial Integrator: editors Tom and Craig just got back from the NSCA Business and Leadership Conference (BLC 2018) and they have lots of sound AV business advice to share.
If there’s anyone in this world who’s got stories to tell, it’s AV integrators. And many of them do tell their stories—but not when it counts most: when they’re sitting in front of a potential customer hoping to attract their business.
Professional storyteller Kindra Hall told attendees at the 20th NSCA Business & Leadership Conference in Dallas last week that keeping your stories to yourself doesn’t do anyone any good—and sharing them could be a boon to everyone involved.
On Episode 5 of AV+…
- Editor-in-Chief of CI Tom LeBlanc and editor-at-large Craig MacCormack explore what they took away from BLC 2018 in Texas — including three things AV integrators should pay more attention to in 2018.
- We hear Tom’s interview with NSCA executive director Chuck Wilson from the show about the 20th Anniversary of the Business and Leadership Conference.

The Commercial Integrator Podcast
The phrase “AV” doesn’t do justice to all of the integration crowd, so we at Commercial Integrator wanted to create an AV podcast that speaks to all of those areas (and more!) under the umbrella of commercial tech integration.
The host, web editor Adam Forziati, has a background in radio and is looking forward to providing listeners with an entertaining, informative audio forum for all topics affecting the AV industry.
AV+ Podcast Release Schedule
We plan to release a shorter, single-topic episode once every week or two on Fridays. But at the end of each month, we’ll also drop a longer, in-depth episode with features like Editor’s Desk, CI Monthly News Spotlight, CI’s Project of the Month, and more — just like this one.
We hope you’ll share your thoughts on Twitter using the hashtag #AVPlusPod!
