Who Is NSCA’s New President?
Shedan Maghzi, strategic advisor at Avidex and former NSCA treasurer, is NSCA’s new president as of July 1, 2026. He steps into the role after serving on the board and brings a focus on adaptability and collaboration across the industry.
“The commercial integration industry continues to evolve at an accelerating pace, but what has always defined our success is our ability to adapt, collaborate and lead through change. NSCA plays a vital role in bringing our community together, sharing knowledge, strengthening the industry’s capabilities, and helping integrators build resilient, future-ready businesses,” Maghzi says. “As I step into this role, I’m energized and optimistic about what lies ahead. I look forward to working alongside our board and staff to help NSCA continue to deliver meaningful value and remain a trusted partner for our members and our industry.”
Who Did Maghzi Replace?
Maghzi replaces Dale Bottcher, chief revenue officer at AVI-SPL, whose term as president ended on July 1, 2026. Bottcher now serves as NSCA’s immediate past president, a role previously held by Dan Schmidtendorff, president and CEO at Communication Company.
Which Other Officers Changed Roles?
Several officers moved into new positions on the 2026-2027 board. Don Mastro, chief revenue officer at FORTÉ and former NSCA secretary, becomes vice president. Chris Wasp Jr., CEO at Ronco, becomes treasurer. Christina De Bono, president at ClearTech Media, returns to her role as secretary after most recently serving as vice president.
Who Are the New Board Members?
Dawn Cagliano, president at IVCi, and Brandon Conick, COO at CTI, join the board for the 2026-2027 term. They come aboard as Wasp Jr. moves onto the executive team and Laurie MacKeigan, president at Backman Vidcom, steps down after completing her three-year term.
Leadership originally announced during the 2026 Business and Leadership Conference that Valley Communications Systems CEO Michael Tremble would join the board of directors. A series of mergers and acquisitions prompted NSCA’s Leadership Development Committee to develop a new plan, and Tremble will remain co-chair of NSCA’s Business and Leadership Conference Planning Committee.
Why Does NSCA’s Board Leadership Matter?
NSCA’s board of directors shapes the association’s priorities and keeps its programs responsive to the changing needs of members. The group guides the resources, education and advocacy efforts that integrators rely on to grow their businesses.
“The commercial integration industry continues to evolve rapidly, and our Board of Directors plays a critical role in ensuring that NSCA remains responsive to the changing needs of our members,” says Tom LeBlanc, NSCA executive director. “This group brings an exceptional mix of strategic leadership, industry expertise, and diverse perspectives that will help guide our priorities and strengthen the programs, resources, and advocacy efforts our members rely on.”
