McCann Systems earned top honors in the best casino category for its complete audiovisual integration at the new Caesars Sportsbook at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, N.J. The project transforms one of the country’s most historic thoroughbred racing venues into a modern gaming destination while preserving the character that has drawn racing fans since 1890.
What Did McCann Systems Build at Monmouth Park?
McCann Systems designed and implemented the complete audiovisual integration for the new Caesars Sportsbook at Monmouth Park, a comprehensive solution that supports sports betting, live odds and wagering displays, horse racing, dining and entertainment within a single integrated gaming environment.
Building on a long-standing partnership with Caesars Entertainment and a proven track record delivering sportsbook and casino projects nationwide, McCann was selected to bring a consistent guest experience to the venue while adapting the design to reflect Monmouth Park’s unique history.
The result honors the track’s legacy and establishes a next-generation gaming destination.
Why Is the Monmouth Park Venue Significant?
Monmouth Park has been recognized as one of the country’s premier thoroughbred racing venues since it opened in 1890. Caesars Entertainment set out to modernize the property by creating a sportsbook that delivers the same immersive audiovisual experience guests expect at Caesars’ casino and gaming properties across the country, all while preserving the character and tradition of the historic racetrack. That balance between heritage and technology defined the project from the start.
How Much LED Technology Does the Sportsbook Feature?
The sportsbook features more than 1,600 square feet of LED technology throughout the venue. That includes four indoor LED videowalls, three outdoor LED videowalls overlooking the racetrack and a dynamic indoor LED ticker that delivers continuous sports scores, odds and wagering information to keep bettors informed in real time. The indoor and outdoor LED videowalls have become a signature feature of the property, giving Monmouth Park a modern sportsbook identity while still feeling unmistakably like the historic track guests have always known.

How Many Displays and Feeds Does the System Support?
The system supports more than 50 simultaneous sports and racing feeds across 23 large-format displays. McCann integrated those displays throughout the sportsbook, betting kiosks, bar, VIP lounges, dining areas and outdoor gathering spaces so every guest gets an optimal viewing experience. Patrons can follow multiple games, races and odds at once without compromising visibility or content quality, which matters on a fast-paced gaming floor where every line movement and race result counts.
How Does the Audio System Work?
The audio system uses a distributed design with seven independent audio zones that let staff prioritize specific broadcasts, racing calls or marquee betting events while maintaining an energetic yet comfortable atmosphere.
Operators can adjust audio routing on the fly to accommodate changing schedules, marquee sporting events, high-stakes race days or live racing calls. That flexibility keeps the energy of the room matched to whatever guests care about most in the moment.
What Was the Biggest Design Challenge?
The biggest design challenge was balancing cutting-edge AV and gaming technology with the architectural identity of a venue that has served racing fans for more than 150 years. Rather than overwhelming the historic setting, McCann’s AV design complements the existing architecture while introducing the modern sportsbook and casino-caliber entertainment experience today’s gaming patrons expect. Expansive LED displays, flexible content distribution, independent audio control and integrated wagering data come together in a gaming environment that handles everyday betting, major sporting events and marquee race days alike.

How Have Guests and Caesars Responded?
Caesars Entertainment has pointed to the seamless blend of modern AV and a 150-year-old racing venue as exactly the balance it set out to achieve. Guests describe the experience as immersive rather than overwhelming. Whether they’re tracking odds at a kiosk, watching a race from the outdoor LED walls or settling in with friends at the bar, patrons consistently comment on how effortless it feels to follow multiple games and races at once without losing sight of the action.
Why Did the Project Win in the Best Casino Category?
The project won in the best casino category because it delivers flexibility and reliability under pressure while honoring the venue’s history. With more than 50 simultaneous feeds, seven independent audio zones and over two dozen displays spanning the sportsbook floor, VIP lounges and outdoor viewing areas, staff can prioritize marquee events, live race calls or high-stakes betting moments instantly.
The completed installation realizes Caesars Entertainment’s vision of a next-generation sportsbook and casino destination, one that preserves Monmouth Park’s legacy while engaging guests and enhancing every visit.
