As excitement about InfoComm 2025 builds, Commercial Integrator chats with Axis Communications to learn about the company’s show plans. In this exclusive interview with Chris Wildfoerster, who serves as program manager, audio, Dan Ferrisi asks about only the new Axis Communications products but also booth activations, contests and more.
“We’ve really expanded the IP audio portfolio that we offer today,” Wildfoerster says. “We have a new display speaker…and we also have the D4200-VE strobe, which is very unique to the marketplace.” Moreover, he underscores that audio is a natural extension of security systems, thus underlining the complementarity of Axis Communications’ full solution portfolio for public address, mass notification and mass communication.

Later in the interview, Wildfoerster returns to new products, highlighting why showgoers should check out the Axis booth, #2120. “We have the new C17 series, which is a display speaker, which is audio, strobe as well as scrolling text capabilities,” he explains. These are perfectly suited for education, healthcare and other environments. The series is available in wall or corridor mount.
Toward the end of the call, Wildfoerster mentions a manfacturer’s training that Axis Communications is overseeing at InfoComm 2025 this June. Called “Axis Object Analytics,” it’s scheduled for June 11 at 2:30pm. Online registration is open right now. “It is accredited as CTS for 1RU,” Wildfoerster notes.
Plus, Wildfoerster mentions a giveaway that Axis recently planned. “We’re giving away some Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses, which is pretty cool,” Wildfoerster enthuses. “So, if nothing else, come by and drop your name in a hat, right?”
