FORTÉ, the global leader in communication and collaboration solutions designed for the modern workplace, just announced that Christopher Mounts, who currently serves as CFO, will become global CEO effective Oct. 1, 2026. Mounts succeeds Jeff Stoebner, who has served as CEO since 2009 and who will continue as executive chairman for FORTÉ.
Who Is Incoming FORTÉ CEO Christopher Mounts?
Mounts joined FORTÉ in 2015 as controller and was named CFO in 2019. During his tenure, he has helped strengthen the company‘s financial foundation, operational discipline and systems infrastructure while supporting FORTÉ through significant growth and transformation. In 2024, he was named CFO of the Year by the Kansas City Business Journal. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Missouri State University and brings nearly 30 years of progressive experience to the CEO role, including 18 years in leadership positions.
Who Is Jeff Stoebner?
Stoebner joined FORTÉ full time in 1993, and he has led the company through a period of dramatic expansion in both the United States and internationally. He was also instrumental in strategically rebranding the company from AVI Systems to FORTÉ. Under his leadership, FORTÉ now serves customers in 22 countries and more than 70 markets worldwide.

What Will Christopher Mounts Prioritize as FORTÉ CEO?
As Global CEO, Mounts will focus on advancing FORTÉ’s company culture, integrating newly acquired businesses into a unified global organization and strengthening the systems and capabilities that support continued growth and customer success.

Who Is FORTÉ’s New Global CFO?
Matt Winger, FORTÉ’s current executive vice president of finance, will become global chief financial officer. In this role, Winger will use his nearly 18 years of expertise to help ensure continuity in FORTÉ’s financial strategy and operating discipline as the company continues to scale globally. His appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to strong financial stewardship, enterprise alignment and continued development of the infrastructure needed to serve customers across a growing global footprint. Winger earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, and master’s degree in accountancy from Kansas State University.
