Speaking proposals are now being accepted for the 2021 NAB Show held Oct. 9–13 in Las Vegas.
In addition to the world’s largest expo of media and entertainment technologies, NAB Show offers “unparalleled educational opportunities on the future of media,” according to the event announcement.
NAB Show seeks “submissions regarding expert-led discussions from prospective presenters with fresh ideas and unique perspectives on key trends and technologies driving the future of media and entertainment,” the announcement says.
Proposals for technical papers to be presented at the 75th Annual Broadcast Engineering and IT Conference should relate to pressing issues facing today’s media professionals, including the ongoing transition to IT- and IP-based systems and the incorporation of artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as on next-generation systems throughout the media-delivery ecosystem.
Submissions are also sought for conference programming focused on:
- Best business practices in a developing content landscape;
- The intersection of content, marketing and technology behind advertising initiatives;
- Cutting-edge trends in content delivery such as 5G;
- Mobile video;
- Satellite IP and streaming;
- Behind-the-scenes deep dives on topics around cinematography, sound editing, technology implementation, workflow solutions and innovative techniques; and
- Emerging trends shaping the future of content creation.
Proposals for sessions on the NAB Show Main Stage are also being accepted.
AES and NAB Show Will Co-Locate in 2021
The 2021 Audio Engineering Society (AES) fall convention will co-locate with NAB Show Oct. 11–13 in Las Vegas.
The co-location “brings together the premiere convention for pro audio professionals with the world’s largest convention encompassing media, entertainment and technology,” according to the joint announcement.
The AES Show will take place at the Westgate Hotel, adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center, where NAB Show will be held Oct. 9–13.
The AES fall convention was previously co-located with NAB Show New York at the Javits Convention Center annually in October from 2017–2019. The two events were held virtually in 2020.
