LVC Companies, the Golden Valley, Minn.-headquartered, provider of fire protection, life safety, security and technology integration solutions, has appointed Kevin Darnell as strategic partnerships director. In this role, Darnell will focus on expanding national strategic alliances, deepening partner relationships, driving initiatives that support LVC’s growth across its integrated solutions portfolio, the company says.

Darnell joins LVC following 4½ years with Hanwha Vision, where he served as director of business development. During his tenure, he led strategic business development efforts across several major verticals including retail and restaurants, cannabis, banking and finance, stadiums and arenas and casinos. Leveraging his hands-on industry knowledge, he helped organizations deploy surveillance and security technologies that strengthened loss prevention, enhanced operational efficiency and improved overall business performance, LVC said in a company statement.

LVC says with more than 30 years of experience in retail leadership roles, Darnell has built a respected career as an expert in loss prevention, asset protection and operational strategy. Prior to joining Hanwha, he held senior leadership positions at many of the nation’s most recognized retail brands, including Caleres, Inc., Radio Shack, Dollar General, Bass Pro Shops, Kmart Corporation, Michael’s Stores and Lowe’s. This practitioner-driven background provides him with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by enterprise organizations and the technologies required to support safety, security and business continuity, the company says.

“Kevin brings a rare combination of practitioner insight and technology leadership,” says Bert Bongard, LVC President and CEO. “He understands what enterprise organizations need from their integration partners and knows how to connect strategy, service, and solutions in a way that delivers meaningful outcomes. We are excited to welcome him to the LVC team.”

Kelsey Kerling, LVC director of national sales and strategic initiatives, adds, “Kevin injects real power into our strategy. He understands what enterprise customers are working to achieve and approaches every challenge with practical, results-driven leadership.
