Commercial Integrator and CE Pro together announced the 2025 IoT/Connected Product Award winners, honoring eight remarkable companies. Each year, the IoT/Connected Product Awards spotlight the connected products that make lives better and that make integrators’ jobs easier.

The term “Internet of Things,” or IoT, refers to the network of physical devices, vehicles, wearables, home appliances and other tools embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators and connectivity. These capabilities enable connection and exchange of data. This, in turn, creates opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into network-based systems, resulting in efficiency improvements, economic benefits and reduced need for human intervention.

The IoT Revolution

“As the IoT revolution continues unabated, commercial spaces are transforming, becoming ever more interconnected and boasting device-to-device communication that was heretofore unimaginable,” Dan Ferrisi, group director of content + editorial, industrial + tech, Emerald, observes. “AV integrators who specialize in commercial environments are certainly embracing the power and capabilities that IoT offers. A program like the IoT/Connected Product Awards ably highlights the products and technologies that will help integrators run their businesses better and complete their projects more effectively.”

“It’s almost impossible these days to find a technology product that does not offer connectivity,” Zachary Comeau, executive editor of CE Pro, adds. “Everything in today’s smart home — from lights, to climate controls, to AV, shades, security and more — relies on communication among devices.” The winning products in the Residential Division, he says, have been catalysts for elevating the smartest homes to new levels of performance.

Our 2025 IoT/Connected Product Award winners underwent a rigorous evaluation process involving a diverse panel of industry professionals, including prosumers, editors, consultants and integrators in the IT, security, commercial AV and home automation fields.
