Lumens Calls VC-A50P HD First PTZ Camera with PoE and AV-over-IP Technology

Lumens says the VC-A50P is capable of being power supplied through PoE providing an economical solution for many integrators.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) can be a pretty handy feature for a camera. That, however, is just one of the features that Lumens Integration is touting for its new VC-A50P full HD point-tilt-zoom (PTZ) IP camera.

Leading up to InfoComm 2017 where many attendees got their first glimpse of the VC-A50P, director of product management Steven Liang told CI, “This will be Lumens’ first IP camera with PoE and AV-over-IP technology.”

He added, “The camera is capable of being power supplied through PoE providing an economical solution for many integrators. The Ethernet glass-to-glass low latency is less than 120ms. It also supports H.264 MJPEG video compression format that can reduce the bandwidth for transmitting video.”

The VC-A50P camera is priced at US $2990 MSRP. The camera will be available in Q3 2017. The camera comes in two colors: black and white.

According to Lumens’s website, the VC-A50P HD PTZ IP camera is equipped with a professional ½.8 inch image sensor with full HD 1080p output. The 20x optical zoom lens, excellent white balance and exposure mode deliver a clear image even in non-ideal lighting environments.
