The two sides can show the same content when consistency is required, or different content when the audiences and communication objectives are different. One side could provide passenger information while the other runs advertising, for example.

In high-traffic environments, viewers are often moving rather than standing directly in front of the screen. Smooth motion and stable image reproduction therefore remain important.
According to Ledman, the X Series Dual-Sided supports a refresh rate of up to 7,680 Hz and 16-bit grayscale, providing smooth image reproduction for dynamic commercial content and applications where screens may also be captured on camera.
These specifications are not what determines whether a project needs a dual-sided display, but they can influence the overall viewing experience once the configuration has been selected.
When Does a Dual-Sided LED Display Make Sense?
Before choosing a dual-sided LED display, project teams should consider five questions:
- Are there meaningful audiences on both sides?
- Do the two sides require different content or schedules?
- Are the lighting conditions different?
- Can the installation structure safely support the display?
- Does the second display surface create measurable communication value?
If the answer to these questions is largely yes, a dual-sided configuration may offer a more efficient approach than installing two separate LED screens.
