The IoT Playbook: How Pro AV Integrators Profit from the Internet of Things

Published: 2018-03-26

CI parent company, EH Media, just launched the IoT Playbook, a multiplatform venture for AV integrators and solution providers seeking internet of things business insight.

IoT Playbook utilizes a website, online and live events, a printed publication and original research to offer cutting-edge guidance on trends and opportunities in everything from sensors, software and gateways to smart offices and cities.

It reaches tens of thousands North American providers of audio, control, digital signage, IT networking, business continuity, cybersecurity, video surveillance, unified communication, mount, cabling, energy, cooling, among other solutions. [related]

“IDC expects worldwide outlays on the Internet of Things to grow 14.6% in 2018 to $772 billion,” says EH Media CEO Ken Moyes. “This is clearly a huge opportunity for our entire integrator audience, and there will be no better source of advice and information about it than IoT Playbook.”

Solution providers are hungry for that kind of information too, according to Michael Siggins, EH Media vice president and publisher of IoT Playbook and ChannelPro.

“Our internal audience research tells us that more than 70% of integrators are eager to learn more about the Internet of Things and 75% predict their IoT-related revenue will increase next year,” he says. “IoT Playbook is exactly what those companies want and need today.”

EH Media will partner with organizations from across the technology world to produce the industry’s best IoT content. “We invite industry manufacturers, analysts, and other experts to join us in presenting informative, actionable insights on the opportunity,” Siggins says.

“And, of course, central to all of our content will be actual integrator success stories, which are a hallmark of all EH Media brands.”

The IoT Playbook team is inviting manufacturers of solutions to complete the IoT Ecosystem survey. Results will be featured in upcoming editorial coverage.

Editorial contribution for IoT Playbook comes from top EH Media editors, including CE Pro Editor-in-Chief Jason Knott, SSIEditor-in-Chief/Associate Publisher Scott Goldfine, Commercial Integrator and TechDecisions Editor-in-Chief Tom LeBlanc, and ChannelPro Executive Editor Rich Freeman.
