WyreStorm Launches In-Wall HDBaseT Transmitter and Standalone PoH Receiver Kits

WyreStorm has released a new in-wall HDBaseT 5Play transmitter and a standalone PoH HDBaseT receiver kit “aimed squarely at providing clean, inconspicuous local HDMI and VGA connectivity and distribution over distance for commercial applications such as meeting, huddle and class room environments,” according to the company press release.

The Wyrestorm TX-SW-IW-0201-KIT includes a 2-Gang in-wall Class A HDBaseT transmitter and standalone PoH receiver with MK-Euro compatible versions available by the end of 2017.

“Ideal for use within meeting room, classroom or even residential environments, the TX-SW-IW-0201-KIT offer[s] refined HDBaseT wall-plate TX/RX solutions for the delivery of HDMI and VGA with audio signals within any modern 4K or HD application,” according to the Wyrestorm press release.

More about the Wyrestorm TX-SW-IW-0201-KIT HDBaseT receiver kit:

The wall plates feature front-facing local source connection of auto-switching HDMI and VGA with audio input. On the reverse located in-wall, you’ll find Class A HDBaseT 5Play supporting transmissions of 4K UHD with HDR and HDCP 2.2, multichannel audio, bidirectional control via IR and RS-232, PoH power and Ethernet passthrough over distances up to 70m/230ft or 1080p/60Hz/48bit up to 100m/328ft.

The TX-SW-IW-0201-KIT can be used either as single source point-to-point extenders or as part of a compatible WyreStorm HDBaseT matrix system containing an HDBaseT input for decentralized source distribution.

The decora wall plate offers inconspicuous local connectivity and control for a remote source to suit any interior, while the RX-70-4K standalone PoH receiver included in each kit supports serial routing and CEC pass-through within an incredibly thin chassis for convenience and ease of installation behind any wall mount.

The RX-70-4K receiver features the same powerful Class A HDBaseT technology and 5Play support.

Serial control is supported when used as part of a WyreStorm H2 Series matrix switcher system, with the RX-70-4K offering compatibility with leading control systems and switchable RS-232 selection for firmware updates.

In terms of power, the RX-70-4K can remotely power its in-wall transmitter when used as part of a point-to-point extender system.  Either transmitter or receiver can also be powered remotely by a PoH enabled WyreStorm matrix switcher if used as part of a HDBaseT matrix distribution.

Signal and device activity is illustrated by panel LED indicators for power supply, signal status for established display connection, Link for confirmed HDBaseT connection between matrix/receiver and HDCP presence in signal.

All giving instant visual confirmation of operational status and helping to identify potential issues and troubleshoot a solution for ease of install.

The Wyrestorm TX-SW-IW-0201-KIT is shipping now. MSRP is $1,198 or £595 in the U.K.
