Seminole, Fla.-based Just Add Power, provider of AV-over-IP distribution, will be at this year’s Total Tech Summit (TTS), October 26 to 28, in Orlando, Fla. During the event, the company will showcase its lineup of AV-over-IP innovations. These include the new MaxColor 4K60 transmitter and receiver series, new KVM field-modifiable transmitters, 2GΩ/3G ST1 sound transceiver, and 767DSS Dante Enhanced Sound System transmitter.
“The last couple of years have signaled a need for AV-over-IP solutions that can withstand any disruption,” remarks Taft Stricklin, sales team manager for Just Add Power. “At TTS, we’ll be highlighting how we responded to the need for more flexibility, more affordability and more support. Each of these solutions can empower custom, commercial, and security integrators with anything their install throws at them.”
Features of New Products
Just Add Power’s MaxColor 4K60 Series transmitter and receiver family provides integrators with an affordable and scalable 4K UHD distribution platform to natively support today’s 4K source content over existing network infrastructures. It also distributes video at 36-bit color and 4:4:4 chroma over existing Cat 5/Cat 6 cable. This eliminates the expense of upgrading to fiber and buying costly network switches.
In addition, the transmitter and receiver support MPEG downstreaming for connected devices, such as a laptop or tablet. The series delivers instant, seamless switching, 4K up- and downscaling, and HDR management. At the same time, it supports all lossless audio formats and HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision for the best viewing experience. Additional features include image pop, push and pull as well as integrated control.
The company will also offer a first look at its MaxColor RX2 and TX2. These offer the same 4K benefits as the current models with the addition of USB ports for KVM applications and optional fiber port for 10G installations.
Integrators at TTS will also benefit from Just Add Power’s 718AVP and 749AVP transmitters. The company built these transmitters in response to the customer demand at a time when the solutions’ Dolby downmixing chipset was in short supply. The 718KVM/749KVM transmitters thus support keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) — as well as stereo audio breakout — right out of the box.
With the installation of the new Dolby chipset that is now shipping, users can modify the transmitters in the field to deliver full AVP performance.
Additional Products at Total Tech Summit
To address the increasing need for flexible audio support in the AV-over-IP signal chain, integrators should also see the ST1. It can function as an input or output, says Just Add Power. This allows integrators to add a stereo audio source easily to any Just Add Power system, or to extract stereo audio from an existing transmitter.

TTS attendees will also see the Just Add Power’s solution to support the latest Dante eight-channel chipset, the 767DSS. It distributes ultra HD and 4K video with HDCP 2.2 over a single Cat-5e cable. Moreover, it takes ultra HD-over-IP systems to the next level. It does so by adding compatibility with Dante and AES67 audio networks with separate switching of audio and video.
The transmitter is backward-compatible with legacy two-channel Dante and AES67 devices. It also offers higher performance with lower compression — bit rates of 176.4 and 192 kHz — and latency as low as 0.25 milliseconds on Gigabit Ethernet.
