40 CI Influencers Under 40: Class of 2015
The popular collection of young industry talent returns for its second year with a new group of people who are poised to carry the torch.

Last year, we debuted a brand new feature: CI’s 40 Influencers Under 40. When we started the process of compiling the list, it was overwhelming just how many young people are making a difference in this industry and the number of ways they’re doing it.

When we decided to do it a second time, there was some trepidation about being able to find another group as talented and impactful as our 2014 rookie class — in fact, one member of that first group joked that our online headline saying 40 Under 40 was “back and better than ever” was setting ourselves up for failure.

For 2015, we asked those on the 2014 list to recommend peers, colleagues and friends they thought should be included, and their notes have been taken into account in the accompanying bios. We actually took the liberty to recognize more than 40 by including multiple individuals from the same company in some cases, plus we squeezed in a few who celebrated 40th birthdays this year.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at this year’s group. Let us know if we missed anyone since we’re already planning for the Class of 2016.

Forget the numbers, even though they’re encouraging. Consolidation, lack of service revenue and firms ill-prepared to win over their customers’ IT departments pose threats to integration firms in 2017.
