In the pro AV industry, expansion is all the rage for the integration companies who can pull it off. But sometimes, manufacturers expanding abroad is just as important to the industry. NEC Display Solutions and audio products manufacturer QSC recently made AV news with their big moves in different continents.
In addition to the recent hire of Jorge Dantas, Senior Director for Latin America, NEC has also added Bruno Tavares, Channel Manager for Brazil and Sales Manager of Digital Cinema for Latin America, Jorge Garcia, Sales Manager, South Latin America (Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina), and Roberto Böttger, Marketing Manager, to its Latin American team since October 2017.
This marks a doubling of company employees dedicated to Latin American markets.
Though no specific data is available regarding the region’s general AV-related growth, AVIXA’s 2017 pro AV Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA) global outlook predicts global AV revenues will increase 4.7 percent annually through 2022. [related]
Meanwhile, QSC expands their marketing in India with the addition of new director of sales and marketing, Rajesh Mittal.
Rajesh joins QSC following his career at Samsung India Electronics where he served as General Manager of Visual Display Solutions. During his tenure, Rajesh played a key role in developing Samsung into a market leader in Large Format Displays.
“We opened offices in India last year to offer a local and dedicated sales and support team to our customers in the SAARC region,” said Ron Marchant, Senior Director Sales, QSC Systems, EMEASA.
“Rajesh brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to QSC, and we look forward to his integral role in helping us further develop our sales and marketing capabilities in the region.”
Rajesh Mittal is based out of the QSC office in Bangalore, India.
