Peerless-AV wants to quash some perceptions of the seven-decade-old company during InfoComm 2019. “We’re not just a metal-bending manufacturer,” says Todd Mares, director of emerging technologies for Peerless-AV.
Instead, Mares tells CI, “we’re a complete AV solutions provider.”
Many of the solutions Peerless-AV will showcase at its InfoComm 2019 booth 3429 will focus on the outdoor AV experience.

The Peerless-AV Xtreme Outdoor Display has been shipping for nearly a year and is gaining traction, Mares says. The display provides a bright, crisp picture, even in direct sunlight, providing a wide range of options for installers regarding positioning.
“We don’t just focus on metal-bending which is what people have expected Peerless-AV to do over the last 70 years. We actually have complete integrated solutions. You can have a one stop shop for an outdoor AV experience,” Mares says.
That High Bright Xtreme technology is incorporated into Peerless-AV’s Smart City Kiosks which will be on display at InfoComm 2019. “With the inclusion of the Xtreme Outdoor Display, we’ve got a complete outdoor-rated solution for a smart city kiosk that’s going to include options such as wayfinding, cameras, touch interactivity,” Mares says.
“It’s a way for people to familiarize themselves with their environment and figure out where they are and where they’re going.”
Add to that outdoor-rated TVs for light commercial and residential; plus an outdoor rated soundbar and outdoor LEDs; and Peerless-AV is offering a wide range of outdoor AV offerings at InfoComm 2019.
“It’s a complete outdoor experience,” he says. “We don’t just focus on metal-bending which is what people have expected Peerless-AV to do over the last 70 years. We actually have complete integrated solutions. You can have a one stop shop for an outdoor AV experience all coming from us.”
Peerless-AV and Minor League Baseball
The company’s connection with outdoor AV is on display at Minor League Baseball (MiLB) parks around the country. During InfoComm 2019, Peerless-AV is sure to discuss its strategic partnership that has established it as the exclusive provider of screen technologies for Minor League Baseball.
More than 50 MiLB ballparks are scheduled to feature Peerless-AV technology by opening day 2020, and Mares discusses in his interview with CI. Watch the entire video above.
