In an interview tied to the 2019 Integrator of the Year coverage, Solutionz Inc. CEO Bill Warnick told us the company was “still on the hunt” for another acquisition to expand its ever-growing footprint and take it a step closer to the goal of being the industry’s top integrator. [related]
It appears Warnick and the Solutionz team wanted to get their holiday shopping a bit early as they today acquired Atlanta-based Unified Technology Systems in a move that brings together two companies that have graced the cover of Commercial Integrator.
Unified Technology Systems’ “prominent position in the Southeast will help expand the company’s ability to design, build and manage AV, network, security and infrastructure deployments throughout the region,” according to the joint announcement today.

Unified will rebrand under the Solutionz name within the next six months and continue operating in its current footprint throughout Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, the joint announcement says.
Solutionz has established offices in the southeastern U.S., including in Virginia and Florida.
The addition of Unified “strengthens Solutionz’ capability to design, build and manage technology deployments to current and future clients,” according to the joint announcement.
“We are extremely excited about joining a successful and fast-growing integrator like Solutionz,” said Unified Technology Systems president Barry Goldin, who will become president of the Solutionz southeastern region.
“This synergy will enable us to grow our portfolio, enhance our technical expertise and offer a broader range of products and services,” he said in the joint announcement.
“The vision Kirk Fernandez established for Solutionz from its inception nearly two decades ago was to be a dominant leader in the space and deliver high-quality solutions to our customers,” said Warnick in the joint announcement.
“Unified is a natural fit with this vision, and as a combined company, with the financial strength and talent pool, we look forward to growing together, learning from each other and providing our customers an even better experience as a result,” he said.
