Matrox Graphics Inc. and Panasonic are teaming up to conduct live demonstrations of the new Panasonic AW-HE130 PTZ camera feeding IP streams to Matrox H.264 decoders during InfoComm 2015.
In the Panasonic booth (#1501) a Matrox Maevex H.264 decoder will be used to decode and display a live camera feed from Panasonic’s AW-HE130 to showcase the camera’s image capturing and picture image qualities.
Over in the Matrox booth (#4053) the AW-HE130 will be used as one of the IP sources feeding streams to new Matrox Mura IPX 4K capture and IP encode/decode boards. In this first-ever demonstration Matrox explains the Mura IPX will capture a variety of baseband and IP sources as Mura MPX video wall processor cards power a 2×2, 1920×1080 installation.
The Canadian company also points out the Mura IPX will also encode the outputs in the same controller system, then, in a separate appliance, decode them alongside content originating on a C-Series-powered video wall. The decoded content will then be displayed on a single C680-powered UHD monitor, illustrating the ability to stream and monitor (or record) an entire video wall anywhere on the network.
Panasonic adds that its AW-HE130 pan/tilt/zoom cameras can be used for video-over-IP applications, including sports, rental/staging, news, and enterprise to transmit multi-stream H.264 HD video and audio at up to 1080/60p at 25Mbps.
According to Matrox, the Maevex H.264 decoders are designed to provide cost-effective AV over IP decoding.
Matrox Mura IPX Series is a new line of 4K capture and IP encode/decode boards that let OEMs and AV system builders deliver advanced video wall controllers featuring high-quality, low-bitrate, multi-channel 4K or HD encoding and decoding over standard IP.
