When Commercial Integrator got hands-on with the BenQ Board CP05, the board’s flexibility made a strong impression. In a recent video interview, Lars Yoder, president of BenQ America, sat down with Commercial Integrator’s Dan Ferrisi to discuss how the company approached the board and its “Meet Your Way” tagline.

What Is the BenQ Board CP05 Designed to Do?

Yoder explains that BenQ spent many years understanding how people interact with technology in education and the workplace. Then, the company combined that learning with existing and new technology to develop the CP05 for corporate meeting spaces.

“We want them to be able to meet the way they want to,” Yoder says, whether that means whiteboarding on the screen, connecting wirelessly or joining a Teams or Meet call.

He outlines three login options: QR code, single sign-on and NFC card, using either a physical card or a phone. Then, users can walk across the hall or across campus, connect to another BenQ Board and bring their personalized workspace experience along with them.

According to Yoder, the processing power of the BenQ Board CP05 lets BenQ handle some AI processing on the board itself. That supports capabilities such as SummarAI, intelligent camera framing, voice tracking and audio enhancement. AI productivity and security “really go hand in hand,” he says.

Yoder also points to what he identifies as several firsts. He describes the CP05 as the only board with dual germ-resistance certification from TÜV and SIAA. Yoder also calls its DICOM Mode an industry first for the medical community. He adds that the board’s dual Pantone certification, for both Pantone and Pantone SkinTone, delivers color accuracy and color flexibility.

On color, Yoder notes with pride that “every one of our competitors can show color, but not every one of them can show accurate color.”
