LG Electronics USA Business Solutions has introduced its new LG OLED Wallpaper Hotel TV.

The global electronics manufacturer says the “razor thin” display becomes “one with the wall,” and the 65-inch product (65EV960H) provides the hospitality industry with a television that offers sleek aesthetics and the best possible image quality through its Ultra HD 4K OLED technologies.

“The 4K OLED Wallpaper Hotel TV lives up to the unrivaled ability of OLED to deliver the very best picture quality available today, and it’s sophisticated form factor will not only capture guests’ attention, but leave a lasting impression,” states Michael Kosla, vice president, hospitality, LG USA Business Solutions. “As the world’s first LG OLED Wallpaper TVs for hotels, this innovative new display is sure to revolutionize the way luxury hotels and resorts elevate the in-room experience for premium guests.”

LG 4K OLED Wallpaper Hotel TV Complements Luxury

Measuring just 0.15 inches (3.86mm) thin, LG says the 4K (3840 x 2160) 8-million pixel OLED display easily integrates into luxury hotel environments via its slim-mounting brackets that include magnetic mats to create a seamless design that sits on a wall.

LG explains the display’s electrical components are housed in a separate media box that connects to the display via a thin flat cable. The cable is designed to facilitate the display’s flush mount to the wall to complement the interior designs of today’s luxury hotel environments.

The OLED Wallpaper Hotel TV features the Pro:Idiom digital rights management system, and the company’s LG Pro:Centric Smart applications platform to enable easy content navigation.

Videophiles will appreciate the display’s support for the HDR formats HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG, as well as its upscaling capabilities that enhances non-4K content to UltraHD levels.

Audio & the 4K OLED Displays

LG emphasizes that it did not overlook audio through the 65EV960H’s inclusion of Dolby Atmos object-based surround sound, which is a format that places sound not only in the front, back, and sides of listeners, but it also adds height to deliver a more immersive listening experience.

LG points out the 65-inch OLED Wallpaper TV joins its existing 55- and 65-inch OLED hotel TV models (65EW960H and 55EW960H) to give hotels a choice of TV solutions.

In addition, the company says that it offers a number of displays solutions for hotel public spaces that includes the Dual-View Curved Tiling, Dual-View Flat, Video Wall, Open Frame, Wallpaper Digital Signage and In-Glass Wallpaper OLED displays.

Integrators might find the concept of them selling broadband service a bit of a stretch. It does make sense, though.
