First introduced in 2010, the 2.8 x 2.8 mm CLY6 LED family from Cree LED enabled many display breakthroughs, such as eliminating costly and heavy plastic covers, improving the display contrast and enhancing LED reliability in harsh environments. Cree LED has expanded on this legacy with newer generations of improved performance, along with new performance and lifetime options, that allow the CLY6 family to address the entire range of outdoor displays, from the most economic models to the world-class installations.
All Cree LED display LEDs are Resilient rated, meaning they have been tested for reliability through all the harsh conditions that could degrade LEDs in an outdoor environment: moisture, UV, heat and humidity. Most of the portfolio is qualified under IEC 60529 with both IP66 & IP68 ratings, meaning the LED is completely dust-proof and waterproof under all conditions. There are no restrictions on power washing to clean the LEDs, provided the board is properly potted.
CLY6H-FKC is the entry-level product with the slimmest design and the highest efficiency. This LED is perfect for cost-sensitive designs with lower power requirements, while still delivering the quality and reliability that Cree LED is known for.
CLY6G-FKC is the enhanced product with Cree LED’s highest levels of waterproofing and UV stabilization, as well as tighter binning controls. This LED is perfect for larger array applications, where image consistency across a large area is critical.
CLY6D-FKC is the flagship product that further enhances brightness and image quality. This LED has proven itself in many iconic LED displays in the most the well-known locations around the world and is perfect for applications where the display must always look its best.
