Planar has expanded its U.S. sales team with the addition of two key members on the West Coast. The company recently welcomed Antonio Dias as regional sales director and Douglas Schoenherr as business development manager for its Consultants, Architect and Design (CAD) Group.
Antonio Dias Joins Planar as Regional Sales Director
Antonio Dias will oversee Planar’s sales initiatives across the Western U.S. as regional sales director. With nearly 20 years of Pro AV industry experience, Dias joins from Crestron Electronics, where he held senior leadership roles supporting consultants, resellers, industry partners and end users. Known for his collaborative leadership style and strategic approach, Dias is expected to strengthen relationships and deliver value for Planar’s reseller partners and customers in the region. He will report to Tani Klein, vice president of North America Sales, and work alongside a team of regional account managers and applications engineers.
Douglas Schoenherr Joins Planar as CAD Group Business Development Manager
Douglas Schoenherr joins Planar as the CAD Group business development manager for the Western U.S. Bringing nearly 30 years of Pro AV experience, Schoenherr has a strong background in consultant engagement and specification development. Previously serving as consultant liaison at Biamp, he built strong relationships with AV/IT and MEP design consultants across the Southwest U.S.
In his new role, Schoenherr will focus on strengthening Planar’s engagement with architects, designers and technical consultants, supporting the specification of Planar displays for diverse applications.
Based in Denver, he will report to Lainie Mataras, general manager of the CAD Group, and collaborate with Applications Engineers Orlando Helena and Dusty Masanz.
These appointments reflect Planar’s commitment to enhancing its presence and support across the Western U.S., ensuring stronger partnerships and tailored solutions for its customers and design community.
