How Did This Project Start?

The project started as a New York collaboration that grew into something bigger. A global IT consulting and technology services firm was in the early stages of building an executive experience center in New York and wanted outside expertise to make sure the technology and design would support live, in-person demonstrations of its AI capabilities for visiting enterprise customers. The response was strong enough that leadership began planning a second center on the West Coast, purpose-built to showcase live AI use cases to clients across time zones. What Was the Scope of the San Francisco Build?

The scope centered on turning AI services normally explained in a conference room into something a visitor could see and touch. At the heart of the room sits a 49.6 ft by 7.8 ft Planar DirectLight Pro LED videowall, a 25×7 configuration running a 12000×1890 resolution canvas engineered with fiber-optic distribution and a custom structural mounting and cladding system.

To make the wall touch-interactive at this scale, Logic Integration worked with a custom UX/UI designer and installed OptiTUIO LiDAR-based touch sensors across the display. The team also installed beamforming ceiling microphone arrays and a networked QSYS DSP audio and control system, all built to support live AI demonstrations rather than a fixed presentation loop.

What Makes This an AI-Infused System Rather Than a Big Screen?

The AV infrastructure itself is the delivery mechanism for the firm’s AI story, which is what separates this from a large display running AI-themed content. The wall functions as a live demo engine: staff pull from a library of AI use-case demonstrations in real time and tailor what’s shown to match the interests and industry of each client in the room. The content changes, but the delivery method doesn’t. It happens through direct, physical interaction with the wall.

How Does the Interaction Actually Work?

The interaction works through the LiDAR-based OptiTUIO touch sensors installed across the display, which let a presenter walk up, tap the wall and manipulate content directly instead of working through a separate control panel. The beamforming microphones and ceiling speakers extend that same live quality beyond the room, supporting virtual demonstrations that connect remote participants into the audio environment presenters use on-site. Paired with the wall’s resolution and scale, which keeps every demo sharp regardless of where on the canvas it appears, the system makes live AI demonstrations feel as sophisticated as the AI itself, whether the audience is in the room or dialing in.

What Were the Biggest Challenges?

The biggest challenges came from the location, the distance and the number of parties involved. Because the experience center sits in an active seismic zone, the videowall and its mounting system had to be engineered to a seismic rating well beyond a standard commercial install, adding structural review and custom mounting requirements a typical build wouldn’t face. Delivering a wall this size into a downtown San Francisco high-rise added its own logistics, including limited loading dock access.

The project also ran as a long-term, out-of-state engagement, with Logic Integration’s Colorado-based team delivering a build in California. That distance demanded extensive preplanning before equipment arrived on-site along with multiple site visits to manage design, installation and commissioning in person. Coordination added another layer: the project involved communication across international parties and consulting partners, all needing to stay aligned on scope, timing and sequencing across time zones.

How Did Logic Integration Solve Them?

Logic Integration solved the seismic and structural demands by looping in a certified structural engineer early to stamp the mounting drawings before fabrication began, then engineering a custom frame for the space. To manage the out-of-state, long-term nature of the work, the team built a detailed preplanning and site-visit schedule from the outset, sequencing trips to minimize travel while keeping hands-on oversight at every critical stage.

To keep international parties and consulting partners aligned across time zones, the team maintained consistent, structured communication throughout.
