Samsung has announced a new 85-inch interactive display designed for hybrid and remote classrooms and conferencing uses.
The 4K UHD display, the WM85R, joins Samsung’s family of interactive displays for both a business and education setting, joining the company’s 55-iunch and 65-inch products. The device features easy-to-use controls, on-screen visual clarity, security protocols and expanded collaboration touchpoints, according to the company.
Features include a smooth pen-to-paper writing mode, flexible image editing tools and a content navigating system.
For collaboration and screen sharing, the display has versatile connection options, including USB, HDMI, DP, NFC and OPS slot, allowing for content sharing from a variety of devices.
The display also comes with security features, including a six-digit lock system that allows teachers, managers and other professionals to safeguard sensitive reports and lock the display to remove content from view.
Other features include a built-in web browser, intuitive user interface, image editing and document viewers like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe PDF.
According to Samsung, the display can be used in K-12 classrooms, universities, corporate offices, healthcare facilities and even as a whiteboard in a sports team’s locker room.
“The current hybrid model of education and business implemented across industry has increased the need for technology solutions that foster engagement,” said Mark Quiroz, Vice President of Marketing, Samsung Electronics America. “The optimized open forum capability of the new 85-inch Interactive Display enables students and business leaders to work together in real-time, adapting seamlessly to current and future learning environments.”
