Published: 2022-01-27

LG Business Solutions has released its CreateBoard line of interactive displays for the education market featuring multi-touch technology and support for a wide range of learning management systems, cloud drives and online conferencing platforms.

According to the company, its 2022 interactive displays, rebranded under the LG CreateBoard moniker, include additional peripheral products such as mounts, mobile carts and a new Open Pluggable Specification system for adding a computer module.

The displays are designed to support flexible learning environments—such as remote or hybrid learning—while providing educators more engaging teaching tools and maximum utility through open-source compatibility with leading software platforms, says Victoria Sanville, education account leader at LG Business Solutions USA.

“Addressing a variety of needs for in-person, remote and blended learning, our purpose-built solutions help educators meet students where they are and develop more customized lessons as educational institutions increasingly embrace personalized learning,” Sanville says.

According to LG, the launch of the rebranded display line reflects the company’s increased investment in the education space, which includes a team of subject matter experts and new support structures that make it easier for IT and budget managers to select and deploy the company’s technology.

LG’s press release also suggests that the company is pushing its single-supplier solutions to help customers improve reliability, reduce complications from using incompatible products and simplify training and maintenance for IT staff.

The CreateBoard displays are available in three sizes: 65, 75 and 86 inches. The displays feature IPS display panels for wide viewing angles and 4K Ultra HD resolution.

The displays also include a 20-point multi-touch surface to facilitate on-screen collaboration while an ultra-thin gap between the IPS screen and anti-glare, tempered glass screen ensures precise touch accuracy.

The CreateBoard series comes embedded with the Android operating system and an optional OPS slot for adding a computer module.

LG says the displays can support “virtually any application, content management system, learning platform or online conferencing solution” deployed by the customer.

The displays are also Wi-Fi-enabled out of the box, and screen-sharing features allow educators to show up to six screens at once from any mobile device that supports wireless mirroring.

For audio, the displays include two built-in front-facing speakers, and embedded Bluetooth enables users to connect external speakers, keyboards, mice and other devices.

Additional connections include three HDMI ports, one RS-232C port, audio in/out, RJ-45 LAN ports and six USB 2.0/3.0 ports.

The displays also feature USB Block Mode to prevent copying data to an unauthorized device.

Visit the company’s website for more information about the displays, warranties and purchasing options.
