The new Extron IN1806 adds to the West Coast electronics’ company’s array of presentation switcher solutions.
Extron says that its latest presentation switcher is a six-input device that is engineered to deliver a seamless signal-management solution that is capable of handling signals as band intensive as 4K at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling.
“The IN1806 combines cutting edge technology and functionality to deliver a presentation switcher with unmatched performance,” notes Casey Hall, VP of sales and marketing, Extron Electronics.
“Its comprehensive feature set makes it ideal for AV professionals looking for a 4K at 60Hz switching solution that can be applied to a wide range of system designs.”
Extron IN1806 Presentation Switcher Incorporates an Array of Features
The manufacturer says that its new product incorporates ProDSP audio processing, as well as other integrator-friendly features including HDMI 2.0 to help support data rates as high as 18Gbps and a proprietary Vector 4K scaling engine.

Extron emphasizes the IN1806’s ability to support 4:4:4 chroma subsampling rates and its 30-bit internal video processing help the product to deliver high levels of image quality.
In addition, the Extron IN1806 presentation switcher offers RS-232 insertion via its Ethernet port, and it supports integration with CrossPoint matrix switchers.
