Enterprise Connect Orlando, scheduled for the end of the month, has been postponed until August due to concerns about the novel coronavirus which is impacting travel and leading to the cancellation of other tech events and conferences.

The show — which features new enterprise technology from tech companies of all sizes — is rescheduled for Aug. 3-6 and moved across the country to the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif.

However, General manager Eric Krapf said in a statement emailed to registrants that “several key elements” of the program will be provided online in a virtual format during the originally-scheduled week of March 30.

More details on those virtual offerings and the rescheduled event in San Francisco will be provided shortly, Krapf said.

Over the last few days, several big-name sponsors and exhibits dropped out of the program, including Google, HP, Logitech, Cisco, Verizon, ATT, Avaya and Salesforce.

Professional audiovisual audio manufacturer AtlasIED also confirmed to My TechDecisions that the company was pulling out of the event.

Expected to provide keynotes at the event were Pasquale DeMaio, general manager of Amazon Connect; Jared Spataro, corporate vice president of Microsoft 365; Stewart Butterfield, co-founder and CEO of Slack; Eric Yuan, founder CEO of Zoom Video Communications and Anand Eswaran, president and chief operating officer of RingCentral.

Here’s the full statement from Krapf:

After consultation with our stakeholders over the last few days, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Enterprise Connect Orlando 2020.  It has become clear that for a large majority of the Enterprise Connect community, the travel restrictions and uncertainty that coronavirus has caused, has impacted our ability to gather at the end of the month.

Knowing how important Enterprise Connect is for the industry, we are pleased to announce that the event has been rescheduled and will now take place on August 3-6 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. In addition, we will be presenting several key elements of the Enterprise Connect program on-line in a virtual format during the week of March 30, when Enterprise Connect was originally scheduled to take place. We’ll be announcing more details on both the virtual and in-person programs for August shortly.

As a registered attendee, we will automatically transfer your current registration to the new dates. If these new dates don’t work for you or if you have any questions, please contact [email protected].

If you already booked a hotel at one of our Official Event Hotels through Convention Housing Partners (CHP) for the March/April Enterprise Connect dates, that reservation will automatically be canceled and there will be no cancellation fees billed to you. No further action on your part is necessary. If you would like to maintain your hotel reservation, please call the hotel directly and make a new reservation.

Thank you for supporting Enterprise Connect and we look forward to seeing you in San Francisco the week of August 3.
