Draper has made its reputation in the AV integration world as one of the go-to manufacturers of projection screens and projection and flat-panel display lifts for more than 115 years. This year at InfoComm 2017 (booth 3342), though, Draper will be showing off their newest products: Motorized FlexShades.
FlexShades, which Draper officials say “blend style and functionality” for customers of all types, “are ideal for both interior and exterior applications,” according to the company press release. Draper shade products “have hundreds of operation and control variations, including the ability to react to sun conditions and to connect to automation systems,” according to the announcement.

They’re quiet, flexible, and feature 115V, 24V, and battery-operated options. With the ability to interface with third-party applications, the Motorized FlexShades control heat and glare while providing the desired amount of privacy.
Available in a variety of decorative fabrics, the Motorized FlexShades range in size from 2 feet wide to 14 feet wide; larger sizes are available with the FlexShade 2 or Colossal FlexShade. One of the most attractive features of FlexShades is their compact, tubular gear motors located within each shade for smooth, reliable operation, and the ability to retract completely when not in use for an unobstructed view.
The installation options are endless with Motorized FlexShades, including endcaps, simple mounting brackets, fascia, complete extruded pockets with bottom closure panels.
