Atlona To Emphasize The “Three C’s” At ISE 2022

Published: January 7, 2022

Atlona, a San Jose, Calif. based manufacturer of AV distribution will be emphasizing its collaboration, connectivity and control solutions at ISE 2022 in Barcelona. It will be exhibiting at Stand 5P300.

The company plans to roll out its next-generation OmniStream AV over IP codec along with new internet-enabled Velocity control services. It will also introduce a new product family to enhance communication and productivity for UC applications.

Improving collaborative systems while enhancing existing system value will be a common theme, according to the company. The stand will include working demonstrations of innovations that prioritize effortless content sharing, endpoint quality and system management.

The company plans to emphasize networked AV developments that improve several features. These include visual quality, encoding efficiency and multiview window processing for enterprise, schools and esports facilities.

“The world has changed dramatically in the last 24 months, creating new needs for AV systems that close the hybrid chasm dividing remote meeting participants and those inside meeting spaces and classrooms,” says Garth Lobban, director of marketing, Atlona. “In addition, AV system operators and IT teams need to get the most out of existing equipment investments as supply chain issues make physical upgrades more difficult. Our goal has been to endow Atlona-based systems already in use with new capabilities to maintain their value. We’re also bringing products to market that expand the Atlona ecosystem to simplify overall system design.”

Launch of Atlona’s OmniStream 2.0

Atlona will globally debut OmniStream 2.0 at ISE 2022. According to the company, it is a new OmniStream firmware upgrade that “raises the bar” for visual quality and low latency in networked AV deployments. The OmniStream 2.0 adds the new VCx codec to most OmniStream encoders and decoders. This enables delivery of 4K/60 4:4:4 streams with artifact-free presentation of computer-generated content and fast-motion video.

Furthermore, OmniStream 2.0 adds multiview window processing to AT-OMNI-121 decoders. Thus, it enables the simultaneous display of multiple sources from OmniStream Pro encoders on one screen while eliminating the need for a dedicated processor.

Other ISE 2022 Debuts

Atlona’s Velocity Remote Gateway Services, new for ISE 2022, will help users securely configure and manage gateways over the Internet. At the same time, it will automatically back up gateway databases to the cloud.

This latest network-enabled Velocity innovation empowers users to provide enhanced support and customer service. It does so by allowing system and device configuration, troubleshooting, mass credential and firmware updates, and more from any device with an internet connection.

ISE 2022 will also mark the public debut of new connectivity and collaboration solutions that improve productivity inside meeting and learning spaces. New products for the BYOD/BYOM movement include Atlona’s AT-WAVE-101 wireless presentation and collaboration platform. This lets up to four presenters display content simultaneously in dynamically adapting layouts. It also supports all popular wireless casting protocols. The latter is indicative of Atlona’s focus on effortless collaboration and content casting.

Another new solution for ISE to expand and simplify AV system design is the newly announced and shipping OCS-900N network-enabled occupancy sensor for triggering Atlona AV solutions and third-party devices over IP networks.

The company says it will launch a new product family that will strengthen its position within huddle rooms, meeting rooms and home office environments. This new series will launch at ISE with a 4K ePTZ auto-framing camera and a USB/Bluetooth speakerphone. Both work in unison to optimize soft codec videoconferencing experiences. They are also suitable complements to the company’s Omega series of switching, extension and video processing solutions. More details on these two products will be announced in February.

ISE 2022 takes place from Feb. 1-4 at the Fira de Barcelona, Gran Via complex in Spain. For those interested in attending, use code BLIRNFO9 to register for a free exhibits pass.
