AV Link Group Ltd, the Taiwan-based provider of 4k/8k video processors, announced a collaboration with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), a provider of computing, graphics, and visualization technologies. AV LINK and AMD will focus on the next-generation video processors market, with an emphasis on targeting mission-critical applications, such as education, healthcare, corporate, government, and more. AV LINK’s multi-window video processors harness AMD FPGA devices and feature uncompressed 4K/60Hz 4:4:4, real-time Drag & Drop, independent display of different videos on two screens, seamless switching between multiple sources, and adjustable borders on each region and layer.
AV LINK’s engineers developed a prototype using AMD FPGA-based technologies, bringing a new product line to market. AV LINK has developed MaitreView 8KPro, MaitreView 4KPlus, MaitreView 4KLite, and MaitreView 4KPro already. The MaitreView 4KPlus got the Best of Show Award at InfoComm 2023, after the MaitreView 4KPro’s awards at ISE and InfoComm 2022. According to AV Link, the partnership with AMD will allow the company to produce more Taiwan-made and TAA-compliant 4K/60Hz and 8K multi-window video processors to fulfill rising pro AV market’s demands.
