Gig Gear LLC, the Brooklyn, N.Y., manufacturer of accessories designed for musicians, audio production pros, live event techs and entertainment production professionals, has updated its entire line of Gig Gloves.
Available in high-viz and all-black Onyx models, the new and improved Gig Gloves feature more durable fingertip pads, Kevlar padded grip, Kevlar fingertip protection, a mini flashlight sleeve on the wrist cuff and a terrycloth patch, which is perfect for wiping away moisture.
“It’s been a few years since we’ve released an update to the Gig Glove line, and with these new design enhancements, we knew it was time,” says Danny Shatzkes, Gig Gear’s founder. He says, “We’ve listened to our long-time users’ feedback and incorporated that into these updated gloves, including additional Kevlar fingertip protection, a mini flashlight sleeve on the wrist cuff for visibility in dark or cramped spaces and a terrycloth patch that can wick away moisture when working in high heat environments.”
Both pairs of gloves boast a mesh material that allows sweat and moisture to evaporate. Padded grip provides protection of the palm, while allowing a strong grip for carrying, even in the most slippery conditions.
Also new to the Gig Gloves line is the GatorBite — a heavy-duty alligator-style clip that attaches to the bottom of a pair of Gig Gloves and allows users to hook their Gloves to their belt loop to always keep them within arm’s reach. The GatorBite is sold separately.
