Goodbye #AVTweeps: Final Farewell to Industry Pioneers
President and CEO Grant Stewart passed away in October 2015 at age 60 after battling cancer.
Grant was the grandson of Stewart Filmscreen founder Roy Stewart. Under Grant’s leadership, Stewart Filmscreen made great strides, including the release of LuminEsse “edgeless” rigid front projection system and the Cima line.
Grant’s wife Mary, who retains ownership of Stewart Filmscreen, and their two children, his father Pat and the entire Stewart family, survive Grant. “Grant will be sorely missed by many in both his personal life and the A/V industry,” says Don Stewart, Stewart Filmscreen CTO and Grant’s cousin.
