Microsoft Continues Industry Reach, Comes to ISE for First Time

Published: February 6, 2015

Microsoft recently unveiled the new Windows 10 platform, which it will be showcasing at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show in Amsterdam on Feb. 10-12.

We remember when Microsoft exhibited at InfoComm, which, although attendees felt that its booth was somewhat lackluster, was a big deal for the industry.

It was the first time Microsoft came to InfoComm, and the company is once again reaching into new industry areas by exhibiting at ISE for the first time this year. So what’s in store for its appearance in Amsterdam?

Although Microsoft has not unveiled its ISE booth plans, we suspect that the software giant may be showing its new Windows 10, as well as perhaps the new Surface Hub, a large format screen designed specifically to deliver native interaction with much of its work related software.

The Surface Hub is designed to optimize Windows 10 experiences for groups taking advantage of Windows 10, Skype for Business and Office 365 to make every person – remote or onsite – feel like they’re in the same collaborative space.

Hardware innovations in multitouch and digital inking, along with built-in cameras, sensors and microphones allow the Surface Hub to take full advantage of Windows 10’s abilities.

Specifically, the Surface Hub features high-performance digital white boarding; instant remote conferencing; the ability for multiple people to share and edit content on the screen from a laptop, tablet or phone; and a trusted platform for large-screen Apps. The product is available in in two sizes: the 55-inch and 84-inch.
