Test devices and signal extender manufacturer MSolutions, a leading supplier of test devices and signal extenders for commercial and residential AV environments, will unveil at InfoComm 2021 new ultra-high-speed test innovations for HDMI and HDBaseT infrastructure, including 8K 48Hbs qualifications for HDMI cables and HDBaseT Spec 3.0 compatibility.
According to the company, using an MSolutions HCT module, technicians can run full compatibility and sweep tests with near immediate results and verify if the connections can support ultra-high-speed transfer.
The company says MS-TestPro users can now also test ultra-high-speed uncompressed infrastructure and confirm HDBaseT Spec 3.0 compatibility with the MS-TestPro MS104B DCR (DC Resistance) module. The DCR module will offer a detailed analysis of the results along with a simple pass/fail test to quickly confirm Spec 3.0 compliance of the AV infrastructure, which includes long-distance, high-bandwidth (18Gbps) distribution of uncompressed video and audio.
According to MSolutions, it is the first company to support both applications and enable them in a common device, according to CEO Eliran Toren.
In a statement, Toren said technicians are now well-prepared to test the integrity of AV infrastructure and support for UDH formats for years to come.
“MSolutions remains the only company that can qualify HDMI 4K signal integrity on the physical layer, and we have now prepared our customers for the future with 8K qualification,” he said. “The world saw the arrival of 8K with the Summer Games, and we are gradually watching 8K interest take shape in the AV industry through video walls, digital signage and advanced display technology. The HDBaseT 3.0 specification will also soon become standard in the residential market, light commercial market (bars, hotels, restaurants) and government facilities that benefit from the reliability and robustness of matrixed architectures. We look forward to demonstrating our latest pioneering innovations for AV integrators, tech managers, custom installers and end users as we return to InfoComm.”
The company will also unveil its fully refreshed and redesigned user interface for the MS-TestPro, which offers a more intuitive and responsive experience, the company says.
MSolutions will have an exclusive station on the Murideo (2909) and HDBaseT Alliance (2824) booths from October 27-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. For those not attending InfoComm, information on the MS-TestPro device, its new GUI, and all MS-TestPro modules including HCT and DCR is available at www.m4sol.com.
