How These Well-Known AV Companies Got Their Names

The AVIXA branding is short for “Audio Visual and Integrated Experience Association” and is the result of about two years of conversations.
It started with the association’s board of directors, who asked leaders at the organization formerly known as InfoComm International to consider how to revitalize the brand going forward. From there, senior VP of marketing and communications Dan Goldstein hired a brand consulting agency, Ripe, which urged InfoComm leadership to change the association’s name.
