AV over IP at InfoComm 2019: Where Are We At?

Vanco was reintroducing the InfoComm crowd to its three-piece solution for HDMI-over-IP, it’s EVO-IP product family that encompasses the EVOIPTX1 transmitter, EVOIPRX1 receiver and EVOIPCTL1 control box. With the combination of those products, integrators can create highly scalable AV systems for customers. EVO-IP transmits virtually lossless 4K@60Hz, 4:4:4, HDR, HDCP 2.2 video, audio, and IR/RS232 control as a point-to-point, splitter, switch, matrix and/or video wall solution, according to the company. “Dealers are really interested in the HDMI-over-IP system,” president Mark Corbin says of the feedback so far. “Mainly because it’s an auto-detected system, so anytime you hook a transmitter or a receiver into it, it’s automatically going to detect it; you don’t have to go in and set up the IP address, set up each transmitter, set up each receiver – we have one big control box. The control box is the brains of your operation that hooks directly into your network.”
