What Did Almo Pro AV and Audio-Technica Announce?

Almo Pro AV and Audio-Technica announced that Audio-Technica’s flagship D50 Digital UHF Wireless System is now available to order through Almo Pro AV. The agreement gives integrators access to the wireless platform through Almo Pro AV’s North American distribution network. Almo Pro AV is a value-added Pro AV distributor, and Audio-Technica manufactures audio equipment used across professional and consumer markets.

When Can Integrators Order and Receive the D50?

Integrators can order the D50 now, with shipping models expected at the end of September. The system first appeared at InfoComm 2026, where Audio-Technica introduced it to the market. Integrators will also get a firsthand look at the first shipping models during Almo Pro AV’s fall E4 Experience events.

What Makes the D50 Suited for Challenging Wireless Environments?

The D50 is built for high-density RF environments where reliable wireless performance and scalability matter most. The system uses antenna summing and Maximal Ratio Combining technology to improve RF stability across the available UHF frequency range. Its high-density capabilities let integrators deploy more wireless microphones in settings where RF spectrum is limited.

Dante networking rounds out the package by carrying multiple channels of digital audio over a single network cable. For integrators, that can mean less cabling, easier troubleshooting and potentially lower installation labor.

Which Applications Is the D50 Designed to Support?

The D50 targets applications where wireless reliability and scale are critical, including corporate AV, education, government, houses of worship, theaters and other live sound environments. These settings often operate in crowded RF conditions, which places a premium on frequency stability and channel density. The system’s design reflects the growing role of wireless audio within networked commercial AV systems.

What Support Does Almo Pro AV Offer Beyond the Product?

Almo Pro AV backs the D50 with its in-house Audio Team and LinkLab Services, giving integrators support from product selection through deployment. The Audio Team provides technical and business development assistance, while LinkLab Services can handle system design, programming, commissioning and labor. Together, these resources aim to move integrators from evaluation to a completed installation with expert help at each stage.

“Integrators need access to new technology and they also need to know how to put it to work. Almo Pro AV gives integrators a complete crew behind the technology all in one place,” says Rob Voorhees, Almo Pro AV’s director of business development.

Jeff Beck, regional sales manager for the Systems Solutions Sales Department at Audio-Technica, points to the response the product received earlier this year. “We received tremendous feedback on the D50 when it was introduced at InfoComm in June and we look forward to showing the first shipping models at Almo Pro AV’s E4 Experience this fall,” Beck says. “We are confident that between Almo Pro AV’s deep distribution network and talented internal technical and service teams, integrators will be able to get the D50 into their projects quickly and with great success.”

Where Can Integrators See the D50 in Person?

Integrators can see the D50 in action at Almo Pro AV’s E4 Experience events in Dallas on Sept. 15 and Boston on Oct. 15. The E4 Experience is a one-day event focused on education, training and hands-on access to AV technology. The program connects integrators with educators, manufacturers and certified training programs while offering time to explore new products and discuss real-world applications.

Voorhees says the events are a practical way to evaluate the system. “Seeing the D50 at the E4 Experience this fall will give integrators looking for new audio a big advantage. They can spend meaningful time with the technology and talk directly with our experts to get their questions answered,” he says. “It’s an effective way to evaluate what’s right for their projects with the added bonus of not having to travel.”

The fall E4 Experience schedule is as follows:

  • Dallas: Westin Dallas Park Central Hotel, Sept. 15, 2026
  • Boston: Boston Marriott Newton, Oct. 15, 2026
  • Both events run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
