Crestron Electronics is known for its powerful control and automation systems and A/V content distribution systems. The company also designs and manufactures a complete selection of audio amplifiers and loudspeakers, and recently Crestron has announced its latest amplifiers and speakers.

The company has just introduced its new AMP-225 and AMP-150-70 modular amplifiers and new Vector loudspeakers that are designed for integration into large commercial spaces.

“Crestron has everything you need to deliver best-in-class audio performance in any space throughout an enterprise,” says Dennis Fink, technology manager, professional audio, Crestron Electronics. “From DSPs and amplifiers, to architectural speakers and high-performance loudspeakers. Crestron gives you robust, easy to scale solutions for a wide range of rooms.”

Crestron Modular Amps

Explaining the two-channel AMP-225 and single-channel AMP-150-70  modular amplifiers, Crestron states the amps are rated to produce 25 watts into 8 ohms and 50 watts into 8 ohms each respectively.

Both amps are Energy Star certified and incorporate features such as fault protection and modular design elements that include Crestron’s slide-rail system and small quarter-rack footprints.

Crestron says that multiple modular amps can be ganged together in a single rack space and the modular amps can be combined with the company’s half-rack AMP-1200 and AMP-2100 amps to produce 1RU system solutions.

Crestron Vector Loudspeakers

The Vector loudspeakers are designed for installation into spaces such as auditoriums, lecture halls, corporate town halls and divisible rooms.

When combined with the company’s Avia DSPs, Avia Audio Tool and amplifiers, Crestron emphasizes that integrators can create natural sounding audio systems with high levels of dispersion pattern control.

Crestron adds that through the use of its Avia Audio Tool, installation professionals can streamline their system design and programming processes to create greater installation efficiencies.

The Avia Audio Tool also allows integrators the ability to change designs “on the fly” without having to rewire and recompile systems.
