As part of its NAMM 2018 show activities, Sennheiser also announced major upgrades to its Digital 6000 wireless microphone system.

The Digital 6000 system doesn’t congest spectrum with intermodulation products to leave production services with more spectrum space to operate wireless links.

Sennheiser states that it will offer a free firmware update for all EM6000 receivers that includes a command function that lets users setup a talkback channel with compatible transmitters.

“Since its launch in February 2017, Digital 6000 has met with huge acclaim from a broad range of users, from artists and live audio companies to broadcasters and corporations,” comments Tom Vollmers, product manager for Digital 6000, Sennheiser.

The new upgrade with a command function and secondary Dante port adds further attractive features to a system that is already highly praised for its exceptional audio quality and fantastic spectrum efficiency.”

The German audio company explains the Digital 6000 system is designed to serve as an intermodulation-free solution that gives users more channels in less space.

According to Sennheiser, the Digital 6000 system doesn’t congest spectrum with intermodulation products to leave production services with more spectrum space to operate wireless links.

Sennheiser adds the Digital 6000 also incorporates an audio codec that is specially tuned and “purpose designed” to produce natural sound. The system’s digital principle is said to eliminate the digital noisefloor and compression to help ensure a quieter floor for professional audio scenarios.
