Hall Technologies’ InfoComm 2021 booth might have been at the back of the hall, but its technology was front and center among attendees. In its semi-private meeting space at the show, the company had its new EMCEE200 multiview presentation switcher scaler on display with Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-Over-Picture (POP) capabilities.
The unit can process up to four 4K@60 video sources with zero latency and gives “CONFIDENCE” and “PRESENT” HDMI outputs in different window layouts. With a built-in dual MIC mixer and a wide range of Audio Embedding and De-Embedding options, EMCEE is well suited for multiple types of presentations. EMCEE can not only record the presentation to an external storage device but also provides USB3.0 4K capture to stream live with no additional hardware.
The EMCEE200 4K Multiview Presentation Switcher is uniquely engineered to give end users the ability to customize their onscreen content layout in various multiview formats. They can customize the visual hierarchy of content based on the contents size and position on screen giving their audience a visually seamless experience. Built-in USB 3.0 4K soft codec support makes the EMCEE200 perfect for live events or to stream content with the best quality. Presenters can also record the presentation to an external storage device.
“This is really designed for those education environments… distance learning and hybrid learning… asynchronous/synchronous environments, and corporate environments where you are presenting on multiple screens but still interacting with a local audience and a distance audience,” says Ken Eagle, vice president of technology at Hall Technologies.
“You can put up to four windows on to the two screens you have connected and you can configure those in different layouts. Having these different layouts makes it real easy for a presenter to get the exact content they want up on the screen,” he says.
The company also was showcasing its complete solution offerings at the show.
“We’ve always been known as a company developing tremendous HDBaseT conferencing extension products … pieces that help you complete a solution,” says Eagle. “But today, Hall is offering complete ecosystems that allow integrators to expand what they are doing. That includes complete presentation systems, control, and UC communications products like soundbars, PTZ cameras, speakerphones, and the ability to customize the control system for whatever your customers’ needs are.”
