Published: 2015-12-15

The Woodinville, Wash.-based audio company Mackie is well established in the world of commercial audio through its range of mixing consoles, speakers, recording interfaces and other products.

Adding to its line, Mackie has announced the availability of its Reach personal all-in-one PA system, which delivers wide audio coverage, built-in personal monitoring, and the flexibility to integrate a choice of audio sources. This is a turnkey PA system for commercial integrators or residential integrators doing light commercial projects.

“With Reach, you get an incredibly portable and easy-to-use professional PA system without sacrificing power or capability. We are excited to see how Reach changes the way people perform,” says John Boudreau, SVP of product planning, Mackie. “Reach is perfect for artists and venues that need a simple but powerful all-in-one PA solution. From coffee houses, wineries and brewpubs, to school assemblies and corporate presentations, the Mackie Reach provides unmatched versatility with the best sound quality possible.”

The Reach features Bluetooth streaming capabilities, a full-featured six-channel mixer and control app options for both the Apple iOS and Android platforms. Mackie explains the Reach also incorporates its ARC (Amplified Radial Curve) high-frequency array that utilizes three horizontally angled high-frequency drivers paired with dual vertically spaced high-output low-frequency drivers to provide 150-degrees of audience coverage in both wide and deep areas.

The Reach also incorporates the company’s EarShot personal monitoring system that features a built-in full-range driver on each side of the product to enable performers to receive clear sound while on stage. Mackie points out that when its ARC and EarShot technologies are combined the Reach system delivers a total of 250-degrees of room coverage.

Other features include wireless control via the company’s Connect App that offers three-channel EQ adjustments, a built-in feedback destroyer, application-specific speaker voicing modes, 16 vocal/instrument effects, and three memory settings to allow users to save and recall their favorite settings.
