Access control systems do away with the need for keys. You can program the exact access each employ should receive into their personal cards or fobs. They simply swipe the same fob in front of an electronic device, and they’re in. If the employee leaves the company, a centrally managed software can destroy his or her credentials and render the fob useless before they even leave the property. Some of today’s systems can even use biometrics like fingerprints. It’s a lot harder to steal a person’s finger than their keychain.
