The new switch from ATEN includes scaler, streaming, audio mixer and HDBaseT to handle a variety of configurations. Features include its zero-second switching without latency, while scaling for best output resolution; bi-directional distance-free streaming that enables users to livestream HD video to up to five remote sites or stream in content from a remote site via web GUI; multiview flexibility to display and configure up to six sources simultaneously; and built-in audio mixing capabilities that allow microphone input to be mixed with program audio. “Nowadays you have people joining meetings remotely, so for those people they can just use their laptop, open their browser and they will be able to see what’s playing on the local [meeting host source],” says product manager YT Liang. “So for example if the [screen] is changed, the remote people see that screen change too. You can also use iPads to control the devices and video.”
