The versatile docking station, out in August, means teams can get up and running with their displays in a matter of minutes, according to Andrew Corkill, VP, global marketing at Targus. The streamlined solution supports four 4K displays via four DisplayPort or four HDMI ports. It’s a desktop solution but as demonstrated at InfoComm it can be set up in a conference room, boardroom or elsewhere. “This drives four 4K monitors – it works with MacBook, PC, Dell, Lenovo, HP, any laptop that you plug into this it works,” he says. “It also has universal laptop charging, it delivers 100 watts of power to your laptop over USB-C. The other cool thing is this comes with a cable that has multiple charging tips, so it’s universal power and universal functionality for 4K. That’s why enterprise customers really like this – they can set this up anywhere in the building; if you have a designer coming in with a Mac or an accountant coming in with a Lenovo, you can use it.”
