AVI-SPL, the global provider of audiovisual and collaboration solutions, has been recognized as the 2023 Commercial Integration Award Winner for Best Meeting Room Project! AVI-SPL was chosen by a prominent global financial institution to design its state-of-the-art executive boardroom. Tasked with fostering equity, inclusivity and hybrid collaboration, AVI-SPL delivered a solution that exceeded expectations.
The objective was clear: Create a dynamic 26-seat horseshoe-style table that promotes collaboration while incorporating advanced technology to enhance remote participation and elevate the video experience for in-person attendees. To bring this vision to life, AVI-SPL utilized its virtual reality design services to create a virtual model of the space, providing the entire design team with a clear understanding of the aesthetics and functionality of the system.
The centerpiece of the boardroom is a visually stunning Planar 0.9 DLU LED videowall, offering unparalleled clarity and providing an immersive content display. Three custom ribbon-style display systems are strategically placed around the room, showcasing far-end participant views and creating a seamless experience for remote attendees.
To facilitate seamless communication, motorized table monitors with integrated cameras were installed. These monitors can rise out of the table, enabling participants to maintain eye contact with others while viewing content. An Analog Way videowall processor and control system were also integrated, offering layout and layering presets for a streamlined user experience.

In addition, the boardroom is equipped with multiple camera systems to cater to various meeting scenarios. The primary camera system utilizes integrated table monitor cameras, allowing for direct shots of each local participant. By combining these shots with wider-angle PTZ cameras, a layered, multi-view feed is created for remote participants.
The installation process was meticulously planned and executed to ensure that the project was completed on time. With careful attention to detail and coordination across multiple trades, the boardroom seamlessly integrated with the global financial institution’s broader headquarters initiative.
The client’s reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. The design and hybrid meeting experience delivered by AVI-SPL have exceeded expectations, providing executives with a next-generation collaboration space. AVI-SPL’s expertise and commitment to meeting equity within a complex environment have helped the global financial institution achieve its goals and create a truly exceptional boardroom.
