In 2020, Vietnamese telecommunications giant Viettel Group moved 1,000 corporate employees into a new Hanoi headquarters with a unique design from U.S. architectural firm Gensler.
The oval-shaped building curves and slopes from the foot of the building to a grass-covered roof, a design inspired by the company’s logo.
With a company that boasts 50,000 global employees with 110 million subscribers, the company required cutting-edge building management systems to help conserve energy along with sophisticated audiovisual systems in its meeting and event spaces to facilitate collaboration and communication among its employees.
For that project, the company brought on AV integrator Hong Ky Technology and Investment Development Company Limited for design and integration, with Extron as the preferred vendor for all AV switching, distribution and control systems.
“Extron’s product line provides system designers with the flexibility to select the optimal solution for each application,” said Le Ngoc Thang, the technical lead for Hong Ky Technology.
According to Extron, the project consisted of 150 of its products across 10 rooms, including in conference spaces, training rooms and a large auditorium. The entire project took just under a year to complete.
